About this Beach

San Giovanni di Sinis is a beautiful beach on the western tip of the Sinis Peninsula near the ancient Phoenician ruins of Tharros. The combination of archaeological heritage and stunning natural beauty makes this one of Sardinia's most culturally rich beach destinations. The beach features fine white sand with occasional quartz elements, and the water is a striking palette of turquoise and azure. The ruins of Tharros are visible from the beach, perched on the nearby headland, creating a uniquely atmospheric setting for a beach day. Behind the beach sits the charming 6th-century church of San Giovanni di Sinis, one of the oldest churches in Sardinia. The area is part of a marine protected area, ensuring pristine waters and healthy marine ecosystems. Traditional fishermen's huts made of rushes dot the landscape.

My favorite beach in the area. There is also a free parking spot close to the houses

Absolutely gorgeous corner of the world, we were there in October 2018 so it was off season and practically deserted.
