Spiaggia del Lazzaretto è una spiaggia incantevole a pochi minuti dal centro storico di Alghero, sulla costa nord-occidentale della Sardegna. Prende il nome dal vecchio edificio di quarantena (lazzaretto) che un tempo sorgeva nelle vicinanze, la spiaggia è composta da diverse piccole insenature sabbiose divise da affioramenti rocciosi piatti. L'acqua è cristallina con una bellissima tonalità blu-verde e le aree rocciose creano piscine naturali ideali per bambini e amanti dello snorkeling. L'orientamento riparato offre condizioni di calma nella maggior parte dei giorni, mentre la vicinanza ad Alghero la rende una spiaggia facile da visitare senza auto. La spiaggia offre un buon equilibrio tra servizi e bellezze naturali. Le viste sull'acqua fino al promontorio di Capo Caccia aggiungono drammaticità all'ambientazione. Nelle vicinanze, le mura della città di Alghero offrono interesse storico e ottimi punti ristoro dopo una giornata al mare.

Lazzaretto made for a lovely afternoon. The beach isn’t as big as others on the West of Sardegna but it’s crystal clear as most beaches. Walking the whole way to the right, one will find quieter spots as the entry is full of sunbeds.

The beach is small but what is amazing is definitely the view. You have plenty of ways to explore the beach and the surroundings and the water is clear and blue. I really enjoyed this place.

Fantastic beach! The beach is situated in a nice protected cove from the elements. The day we went, there was a strong wind from the north, but there was hardly any wind at this beach. The beach was shallow waters and is great for kids. I’ve been to 4 beaches in the Alghero area and this one is one of the best. There’s also a few restaurants where you can probably get a nice drink and bite to eat.
